Are you a fan of brownies?
Do you know that they are for sure not healthy?
Doesn’t stop you does it!
Ok I have come upon the most odd recipe brownies.
you’ll need:
1 brownie mix
1 can black beans
1 cup water
chocolate chips
13X9 pan
Yes, I said a can of black beans. What you do.
Preheat the oven to what the BOX says
1. grab a bowl and pour the brownie mix into it
2. drain and rinse really well the can of black beans
3. pour black beans (after rinsing) into a blender or food processor
4. add 1 cup of water to beans
5. blend for a while (2 min) until smooth and NO chunks
6. add to brownie mix and stir
7. add some chocolate chips for fun (if you’d like)
8. pour into pan and put into oven and cook
They are delicious.
NO eggs, NO oil – high in protein. 🙂 Delicious!
We had them 2 nights ago.
I forgot to take pictures my apologies.

Baking with Butterscotch

Do you ever get tired of baking with chocolate?
I know I do.
That’s why I decided to buy some Butterscotch chips and try those out.
Now of course I didn’t abandon Chocolate chips entirely but this definitely created a new pair of deliciousness for the taste buds!

You Need:
3/4 C. Butter/Margarine softened
3/4 C. granulated sugar
3/4 C. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp Vanilla extract
1-1/4 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups rolled oats
1-3/4 cups (11oz) Butterscotch chips
1/4 C. Chocolate chips

First preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
Second beat together butter and sugars in a large bowl until blended.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. In a small bowl mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Gradually add to butter mixture and beat until well blended (Gotta whip those bad boys into shape!).
Stir in Oats.

Grab a 9X13 glass pan and spray with nonstick cooking spray

Spread 1/2 the mixture in the pan and set the rest aside.
Now: Take the butterscotch chips and melt them!
(those poor little ones didn’t even see it coming!)

You do this by setting the stove top to the lowest heat setting possible.
Grab a small sauce pan (preferably non stick) and add the BUTTERSCOTCH chips (not chocolate) to the pan and place on stove. Stir continuously until chips are completely melted and there are not chunks.
Pour this over the mixture in the pan and spread evenly.

Then pour the rest of the oat mixture in the pan, spread evenly.

Lastly top it off with the chocolate chips- sprinkle evenly and put in the oven.

Bake for approximately 12 minutes.
You may need to add time just until a knife comes out clean (confessions from the murderer).

Spice up your tacos without busting the bank

Sometimes I feel that ground beef is boring.
I wanted to spice it up for tacos without spending the $ on seasoning mixes
I made my own.

All of the ingredients I have in the cupboard and use on many items so its nothing special
Just simple, Just easy and Just cheap!

Taco Seasoning

1 Tbsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1 ‘n 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper

Mix all together and store in a ziploc baggy or an air tight container.
When using, after I brown the ground beef I then add 1 cup water to 1 lb of beef and add seasoning and simmer until liquid is pretty much gone. I never measure the seasoning, but I guess it would be around 1 tsp.

So formula as follow: 1 lb beef + 1 cup water + 1 tsp seasoning = great tacos

Or you can just sprinkle it on.

Its here for you to try and experiment!
